Renowned restaurateur Sam Fox’s first hotel has five restaurants. Of course it does.

Scottsdale locals told us this is where they send their pickiest houseguests and now we get it.

We stayed here recently and the details are what got us. Matouk linens. Byredo products. Marble bathrooms. Housekeeping saw the book on our nightstand and left a bookmark next to it. How nice is that?

Breakfast at Le Market is a favorite. Sit outside, order the egg sandwich and the Augustinus Bader Skin Smoothie. Best smoothie we’ve ever had. (Sorry, Erewhon.)

The gym is perfect. There’s a Forma Pilates studio inside with daily classes for hotel guests, which we immediately booked.

The Pink Dolphin, the hotel shop, is stocked with Garrett Leight sunglasses, Anemos bikinis, Aviator Nation and LMNT. We went in more than once.

For sunset, book a table at Théa. It’s on the roof and overlooks Camelback Mountain.
